Vintage Designer Chess Set with Frameless Chess Board, KH 9 cm3,5", Handmade Ex

            This a vintage designer chess set made in Western Europe ca. 1970's - 1980's. The set includes 32 chessmen and a flat wooden chess board with frameless design. Chess pieces are finely made of two types of exotic wood. They are crafted in unusual pattern with modern appearance and clean and simple lines. All pieces have cone shaped bodies. Knights are carved by hand. There are some small differences between some of the pieces - probably due to the handwork. Both sides of the set are made of special types of wood with beautiful color and woodgrain. All chessmen are in natural color and coated with varnish with satin finish. Surface of the pieces is polished very well. All chessmen are felted and possibly slightly weighted. Weight of the black King is 17 g. The set comes with the original flat wooden chess board with frameless design. Top side is inlaid with natural veneer from maple and pear? There's a thin frame around the squares made from mahogany wood which gives the board very stylish appearance. There are 4 felt circles on the bottom side. Surface is coated with matted varnish. The set comes with no storage box - chess pieces and board only.

Condition:
Pieces and board are in excellent condition. No chips and cracks to the chessmen. All felts are present - some of them in different color (probably re-felted). The chess board is very well preserved, just a few occasional minor marks and scratches on the surface. Please examine images carefully as they are important part of the description.
